Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the impact of workforce conditions, leadership effectiveness, and governance structures on faculty performance within an EdPEx-accredited private university, with the aim of developing actionable strategies to enhance institutional quality and competitiveness. Research design, data, and methods: A mixed-methods explanatory sequential design was employed, combining quantitative surveys (N=61 faculty members, 94% response rate) with qualitative interviews (n=5). Data were analyzed using JAMOVI for statistical testing (regression, ANOVA, chi-square) and NVivo for thematic analysis, with alignment to the EdPEx framework. Results: Key findings revealed: (1) Strong ethical leadership (4.5/5) and financial governance (4.7/5) as institutional strengths; (2) Significant gaps in technological resources (2.9/5) and work-life balance support (2.7/5); (3) Positive correlation between inclusive policies and innovation (χ²=12.4, p<.001); and (4) No significant link between performance metrics and retention (r=.18). Conclusion: The study demonstrates that while EdPEx provides a robust quality framework, its effective implementation requires targeted interventions addressing faculty-specific needs. A phased action plan is proposed, prioritizing technology upgrades, tiered faculty development, and enhanced governance transparency to optimize both faculty performance and institutional excellence.
