The Guidelines for Prevention of the Corruption in Police Performance

Abstract

          This article aims to study ways to prevent corruption problems in the performance of police duties. It was found that:- The problem of corruption often arises from the performance of duties of government officials that are linked to the use of power derived from their position. To seek wrongful benefits from ordinary people who are involved in problems that have occurred for a long time until they have accumulated into a chronic malignancy that eats away at society, affecting various systems. As for the police, they are government officials who are involved in the law enforcement process. By acting as an official in the criminal justice process, it has the power to count, arrest, and search, investigate and investigate offenders according to the Criminal Procedure Code. In the course of duty, there are still some police officers who use their position to exploit the wrongful interests for protection. In terms of economy and living, people are encouraged to live according to the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy, with moderation, living on the principles of rationality, knowledge and morality. Public administration system Adhere to management guidelines based on good governance, follow the rule of law, have morality and transparency, along with responsibility and must be worthwhile. Social, cultural and moral aspects follow the framework of the police ethics code set by the Royal Thai Police. Legal aspects and methods it is a supervision to comply with the legal process that helps in the prevention and suppression of corruption. Will be under the supervision of the Commission to Protect the Moral System of Police Officers. For the police to be suitable persons as police officers who look after the people to live in peace by performing their duties with fairness.
