Social Welfare Provision that Affects the Enhancement of Self-Esteem of the Elderly in Kham Khrang Subdistrict Administrative Organization Dech Udom District Ubon Ratchathani

Abstract
This research article aims to study 1) the level of social welfare provision for the elderly in Kham Krang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Det Udom District, Ubon Ratchathani Province; 2) the level of self-esteem enhancement among the elderly in Kham Krang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Det Udom District, Ubon Ratchathani Province; and 3) the influence of social welfare provision on self-esteem enhancement among the elderly in Kham Krang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Det Udom District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. This is quantitative research. The research population consisted of elderly individuals aged 60 years and above, who were Thai nationals and resided in the Kham Krang Subdistrict Administrative Organization area. Simple random sampling was used 297 people, the research tools used were questionnaires, statistics for data analysis included mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient analysis, multiple regression equation testing, and hypothesis testing.
The research results found that 1) level of social welfare provision for the elderly in the Kham Krang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Det Udom District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, overall, it is at high; 2) level of self-esteem enhancement among the elderly in Kham Krang Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Det Udom District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, overall, it is at high; and 3) The relationship between social welfare provision and the enhancement of self-esteem among the elderly in the Kham Krang Sub-district Administrative Organization area was very high overall (rxy=.962). Multiple regression testing of the influence of social welfare provision (β) showed that the variables income (X2), recreation (X4), health and medical care (X1), housing (X3), security and protection (X5), and the creation of services and support networks (X6) could collectively predict the enhancement of self-esteem among the elderly, with a predictive power of 92.50% (R2=.925); The hypothesis testing results revealed that social welfare provision has positive effect on enhancing self-esteem among the elderly, with statistical significance .01.
