A Study of the Administration of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools in the General Education Division: A Case Study of Wat Mae Rim Wittaya School under Phrapariyattidhamma Education Area Office, General Education Division, Region 5

Abstract
This research article had two objectives: (1) to study the level of administration of Wat Mae Rim Wittaya School, a Phrapariyattidhamma School in the General Education Division, and (2) to examine guidelines for developing the administration of Wat Mae Rim Wittaya School, a Phrapariyattidhamma School in the General Education Division. This study employed a quantitative research method. The research instrument was a questionnaire on opinions toward school administration in four aspects: academic administration, personnel administration, budget administration, and general administration. The questionnaire was validated for content validity and had a reliability coefficient of 0.91. The data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA, post hoc test, and Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient.
The results revealed that most respondents were male, with the majority aged 34–42 years. Most respondents held a bachelor’s degree, and the largest proportion had more than 10 years of working experience. Overall, the level of school administration was found to be at a high level in all aspects, including academic administration (mean = 3.83), personnel administration (mean = 3.78), budget administration (mean = 3.69), and general administration (mean = 3.78). The key strength of the school was the organization of activities promoting moral and ethical development and student development programs. However, areas requiring improvement included the development of learning resources, enhancement of staff morale and welfare, regular communication of budget expenditure reports, mobilization of resources from external organizations and communities, and improvement of basic student welfare services.
The hypothesis testing indicated that gender and educational level did not significantly affect perceptions of school administration. In contrast, age and work experience showed statistically significant differences in at least one pair of groups. Furthermore, work experience demonstrated a positive correlation with the level of school administration at a moderate level. The proposed development guidelines include establishing standardized administrative systems across the organization, implementing mentoring and knowledge transfer systems, reducing generational gaps among staff, emphasizing practical competency development, and continuously improving the four administrative domains. These measures are expected to enhance the effectiveness of educational management and support the holistic development of Buddhist monks and novices with both knowledge and moral virtues.
