Guideline for the Management of the White School Project based on Kalyanamittadhamma VII of Khaotalupitthayakhom School under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Surat Thani Cumphon

Abstract

            This research aimed to: 1) investigate the current state of the administration of the White School Project at Khao Thalu Pittayakom School; 2) examine guidelines for administering the White School Project based on the Seven Principles of Kalyanamitta Dhamma; and 3) propose and evaluate such administrative guidelines. This study employed a qualitative research methodology. The key informants consisted of 15 stakeholders, 5 experts, and 7 specialists. Research instruments included in-depth interview forms, focus group discussion forms, and focus group evaluation forms. Data were analyzed using inductive analysis.

            The research findings revealed that: 1) The current administration of the White School Project was systematically implemented according to five measures, namely prevention, identification, treatment, monitoring, and management. These measures effectively addressed issues related to drugs and social vices in the school, resulting in appropriate student support. However, some limitations were identified, including personnel capacity, workload affecting continuity, insufficient participation of network partners, and a lack of systematic linkage in monitoring and information communication systems. 2) The guidelines for administering the White School Project based on the Seven Principles of Kalyanamittadhamma comprehensively covered all five measures. Clear policies, action plans, and responsible persons were assigned, together with screening, student support, rehabilitation, surveillance, collaboration with communities and related agencies, and continuous monitoring and evaluation. The Seven Principles of Kalyanamittadhamma were integrated, including building trust, being a good role model, promoting desirable behavior, communicating clearly, listening patiently to opinions, explaining complex matters in an understandable way, and preventing students from being led into harmful behavior. These principles enhanced the appropriateness and effectiveness of project administration. 3) The proposed guidelines were evaluated by experts, who agreed that they were appropriate, feasible, and beneficial for application in the administration of the White School Project in educational institutions.
