Abstract
This research article aims to study 1) level of strategic management and the effectiveness of disaster management in Khlong Dan Subdistrict Municipality, Bang Bo District, Samut Prakan Province, and 2) influence of strategic management on the effectiveness of disaster management in Khlong Dan Subdistrict Municipality, Bang Bo District, Samut Prakan Province. This is quantitative research. The population used in this research consisted of residents in the Khlong Dan Subdistrict Municipality area, Simple random sampling method was used, resulting in a sample size of 376 people, the research tools used were questionnaires, statistics for data analysis included mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient analysis, multiple regression equation testing, and hypothesis testing.
The research results found that 1) The strategic management level of Khlong Dan Subdistrict Municipality, Bang Bo District, Samut Prakan Province, is generally at high level, particularly in the implementation of strategies, followed by strategic analysis, strategic control and evaluation, and finally, strategy formulation. 2) Level of effectiveness is high in the following areas: coping, followed by recovery, preparedness, and finally prevention and mitigation, and 3) relationship between strategic management and the effectiveness of disaster management in Khlong Dan Subdistrict Municipality was found to be very high. When tested using multiple regression, the predictive power of disaster management in Khlong Dan Subdistrict Municipality is 88.70% (R2=.887), and the hypothesis testing results on strategic management showed positive effect on the effectiveness of disaster management in Khlong Dan Subdistrict Municipality, with statistical significance .01
