Perspective transition via the 5 precepts at macro level

Abstract

         Five precepts in the micro-level involve with the individual and sub-society level. However, micro-level begins with the overall society in the country level to the global level. The five precepts are designed as a tool to control societal behaviors and promote the global peace. Therefore, they are not the practices specifically for Buddhist society. Each of five precept will take part in both controlling and promoting which is the foundation of macro-peace. The first precept is the foundation of political peace, the second is the foundation of economic peace, the third is the foundation of societal peace, the fourth is the foundation of justice process and peaceful communication, and the fifth is the foundation of educational peace. The transition of the five precepts to the macro-level is to suit for the practice in society in each era.
