People’s Participation in Local Administration: Case Study of Tambon Bandu Administration Organization, At samat, Roi-Et.

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study, the level of participation and factors affecting the relationship people’s participation in local administration of Tambon Bandu Administration Organization, At Samat, Roi-Et. And recommended guidelines of promote development in local administration of Tambon Bandu Administration Organization, At samat, Roi-Et. The samples, People residing in the Ban Du Subdistrict Administrative Organization, were 368. Data was collected by using questionnaires. The statistical methods used for this quantitative analysis were frequency distribution, percentage and analysis of the relationship of various factors in local administration by testing the research assumption, Gamma in with the level of statistically significant at 0.05.

The result of the study revealed that. 1) The level people’s participation in local administration of Tambon Bandu Administration Organization, were all medium level in all aspects. 2) The factors resulting to people’s participation in local administration of Tambon Bandut Administration Organization, statistical significance (P<0.05), were age, occupation, income, information and time spent in the area. 3) Recommendations for the development of public participation are: Local Administrative Organization Measures should be expedited promote public participation taking into account the organization of appropriate activities to create opportunities for groups of people who have limited time, occupation, income, have the opportunity to participate in the local government. with motivation to make people aware of their rights, values, benefits and have more opportunities to participate.
