Water Management for Sustainability in Agriculture in Trai Mun Subdistrict Sai Mun District, Yasothon Province

Abstract

This research it is a quantitative research. The objectives of this research were to study the level of participation and relationship of personal factors in water management for sustainability in agriculture in Sai Mun Subdistrict, Sai Mun District, Yasothon Province. The population used in the research were farmers from water users. By defining a specific sample group a sample of 247 people was obtained. The results showed that

1) The respondents were 148 females (59.9%), 99 males (40.1%), most were aged 50 and over, 129 (52.2%) had knowledge below bachelor's degree, 243 (94.7%) and had Most agricultural occupations earn no more than 10,000 baht. 221 people (89.47%) Only 4 people (1.6%) earn more than 20,000 baht per month.

2) The overall level of people's participation in water management for sustainability in agriculture in Sai Mun Subdistrict, Sai Mun District, Yasothon Province was at the highest level (𝑥̅ = 4.43, S.D. = 0.64).

3) There is a correlation between personal factors (age) and water management for sustainability in agriculture in Sai Mun Subdistrict, Sai Mun District, Yasothon Province.
