PROMOTING SCHOOL SAFETY THROUGH THE WHITE SCHOOL PROJECT A DRUG - AND VICE - FREE INSTITUTION BASED ON THE SAVE MODEL: A CASE STUDY OF WAT SAITONG SCHOOL UNDER THE TRAT PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE

The purpose of this article was to present an approach to promoting school safety through the implementation of the White School Project at Wat Saitong School, Trat Province, by employing the SAVE Model, an administrative innovation developed under the PDCA cycle. This study employed a qualitative case study approach to collect data through document analysis, interviews, and observations in order to develop a management system that is systematic, efficient, and sustainable. The implementation consisted of four key components: (1) Student Support System - a comprehensive approach to student care, encompassing screening, promotion, prevention, and referral; (2) School Safety - the establishment of measures and a safe environment within the school; (3) Strong Guidance System - the development of a robust guidance system covering academic, career, personal, and social dimensions; and (4) Systematic Working – systematic management that includes planning, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement. The findings indicate that the school successfully created a safe learning environment for students, In the academic year 2025, most students received proper care and support, and no students were identified as being at risk of drug - related problems according to the SDQ (Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire). Furthermore, the school received recognition through national and local awards in recognition of its achievements. Success stemmed from collaboration among administrators, teachers, parents, the community, and the “Baworn” network (home - temple - school (community partnership)), which served as a vital mechanism for strengthening and sustaining the project. The findings of this study indicate that implementing an integrated education management in collaboration with the community can effectively enhance student safety and serve as a practical model for other educational institutions.
