Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aimed to: 1) study the marketing mix factors that customers consider important in making decisions to purchase second-hand products, 2) examine customers’ decision-making in purchasing second-hand products, and 3) investigate the relationship between marketing mix factors and customers’ purchasing decisions regarding second-hand products. The instrument used for data collection was a questionnaire administered to 385 respondents. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean, and standard deviation. In addition, the Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient was employed to examine the relationships between variables. The results revealed that the overall marketing mix factors considered important by customers in making decisions to purchase second-hand products were at the highest level. Among these factors, the people or personnel factor was rated at the highest level. Regarding customers’ purchasing decisions for second-hand products, the information search aspect was found to be at the highest level.
Furthermore, the analysis of the correlation coefficient between marketing mix factors and purchasing decisions for second-hand products indicated a positive relationship at the 0.01 level of statistical significance. This implies that the relationship between marketing mix factors and customers’ purchasing decisions for second-hand products was relatively high.
