Publishing Ethics
Roles and Responsibilities of Editorial board
- The Editorial Board is responsible for reviewing the content and quality of all manuscripts submitted for publication. The Board evaluates each article's significance, originality, and relevance to the journal’s aims and scope, ensuring that only high-quality manuscripts are accepted for publication.
- The Editorial Board shall evaluate manuscripts based strictly on academic merit, free from any bias towards the authors. Decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of manuscripts will not be influenced by personal relationships.
- During the manuscript evaluation process, the Editorial Board must conduct plagiarism checks. If plagiarism is detected, the review process will be halted, and the author will be contacted to provide evidence for further consideration of acceptance or rejection.
- The Editorial Board must avoid conflicts of interest with authors or reviewers and not seek personal gain, whether commercial or academic, from the submitted manuscripts.
- The Editorial Board shall not suppress, alter, or interfere with the content of manuscripts or the evaluations provided by peer reviewers. Additionally, the Board must protect the confidentiality of authors and reviewers from any unauthorized parties throughout the manuscript review process prior to publication.
- The Editorial Board is committed to the continuous development of the journal to maintain and enhance its standards and quality in a timely and up-to-date manner.
Roles and Responsibilities of Reviewers
- Reviewers must evaluate manuscripts based on proper academic criteria without personal bias. They should ensure they possess genuine expertise and knowledge relevant to the manuscript’s subject matter.
- Reviewers must remain impartial and free from any conflicts of interest or personal gain in relation to the authors of the manuscript.
- Reviewers must maintain confidentiality and not disclose any information contained in the manuscript to unauthorized individuals during the review process prior to publication.
- Reviewers must not seek any personal or financial benefit from the manuscripts they review, or any parties involved in the journal’s publication process.
- Reviewers are required to complete their evaluations within the designated timeframe.
- Reviewers must assist the Editorial Board in making informed decisions regarding publication. For example, if plagiarism or falsification of research results are detected, reviewers must report these findings to the Editorial Board immediately.
Roles and Responsibilities of Authors
- Manuscripts submitted for consideration must not have been previously published or be under review by any other journal or publication outlet. Additionally, once accepted and published in the Journal of Liberal Arts and Management Science, the article must not be republished elsewhere. In cases of duplicate publication, the author shall bear full responsibility.
- Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of both the content and formatting of their manuscripts. All sources and academic works cited must be properly referenced in accordance with the journal’s template. Authors must not engage in plagiarism, including self-plagiarism or the unauthorized use of others’ work.
- Authors must respect the academic feedback provided by peer reviewers and be willing to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the recommendations of the reviewers and the Editorial Board. Revisions should aim to meet academic standards and conform to the journal’s formatting and submission requirements.
- In cases of multiple authors, all individuals listed as authors must have made a genuine contribution to the work. Submission of the manuscript for publication consideration must be approved by all co-authors prior to submission.
- Authors must obtain permission before naming individuals or organizations in the acknowledgements section.
- Authors must submit an ethics approval certificate for studies involving human or animal subjects, that may impact dignity, rights, or safety, to support the editorial decision on acceptance or rejection.
