Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
BRU ELT JOURNAL

We are firmly committed to promoting the most ethical publication practices and expect all submitting authors to adhere to the high standards of publication ethics as outlined by the Commission on Publication Ethics (COPE). In terms of moral concerns, mistakes, and retractions, we are dedicated to following best practices. One of the editorial board's most important duties is to prevent publishing malpractice. We take any incidents of unethical activity very seriously, and we'll deal with them in accordance with COPE policies. Plagiarism of any kind is not permitted in the BRU ELT JOURNAL. The authors who submit their articles to the publication affirm that the material is original.

Duties and Responsibilities of Editors
Review of Manuscripts: Each editor is responsible for ensuring that each submitted manuscript is evaluated for originality using the appropriate software. After a desk review, the manuscript is sent for blind peer review to the editorial review board, which will make a recommendation to approve, reject, or modify the manuscript.
Fair Review: A manuscript is always evaluated for its intellectual content, regardless of the author’s ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
Confidentiality: The editor must ensure that all information regarding submitted manuscripts remains confidential.
Publication Decisions: The editors are responsible for determining which of the submitted articles will be published. The editor may be guided by the journal's editorial board's policies and be constrained by the applicable legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editor may consult with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.

Duties and Responsibilities of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions:
Peer review aids the editor in making editorial decisions and, through editorial communications with the author, may also assist the author in enhancing the paper.
Promptness: If a reviewer believes he or she cannot complete the review of the manuscript within the allotted time, this information must be communicated to the editor so that the manuscript can be sent to another reviewer.
Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers must verify that the authors have cited all data sources used in the study.
Confidentiality: All information regarding manuscripts should be kept confidential and treated as privileged information.
Standards of Objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: Without the author's written permission, reviewers may not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research. Confidential information or ideas obtained through peer review must not be used for personal gain and must be kept private. Reviewers should not evaluate manuscripts in which they have competing, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, corporations, or institutions associated with the papers.

Duties and Responsibilities of Authors
Authenticity of Data:
Authors must attest that all data presented in the paper are genuine and accurate.
Multiple Submissions: Authors are required to attest that their manuscript is not being considered for publication elsewhere.
Originality and Plagiarism: The authors should ensure that their works are wholly original. If they have used the work and/or words of others, they have cited or quoted them appropriately.
Reporting Standards: Authors of reports on original research should provide an accurate account of the work conducted as well as an unbiased discussion of its significance. The paper's representation of underlying data should be accurate. A paper should provide enough information and citations for others to reproduce the work. False or deliberately inaccurate statements comprise unethical conduct and are unacceptable.
Authorship of the Paper: All listed authors must have made substantial contributions to the research.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: All authors are required to disclose in their manuscript any financial or other significant conflicts of interest that could be construed as having influenced the results or interpretation of their manuscript. Disclosing all sources of financial support for the endeavor is required.
Peer Review Process: Authors are required to take part in the peer review process set by the journal.
Submission Check Form: Authors are required to complete the author submission checklist form.
Publication Guidelines: Authors must strictly follow the submission guidelines of the journal.
Acknowledgment of Sources: At all times, the work of others must be properly acknowledged. Authors should cite the publication works that have influenced the essence of the reported work.
Fundamental Errors: If the author(s) discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in the submitted manuscript, they are obligated to provide retractions or corrections of errors at any time.
Research on Human Subjects: When applicable, all authors must cite institutional review board (IRB) approval for research involving human subjects.
