Abstract

English language is considered as a global lingua franca used for communication worldwide, including in Thailand. The role of English has become increasingly significant in both academic and everyday life contexts. English language teaching typically focuses on developing communication skills. Most curriculum designs are intended for sighted individuals and lack tailored approaches for visually impaired learners. This gap has led to the study and innovative learning materials. The objective is to design, test, and develop photo prints and Braille English resources for visually impaired learners, as well as to evaluate the satisfaction of teachers and obtain a patent for these innovations. The samples consisted of 5 teachers at the Bangkok School for the blind, Bangkok. The instruments were questionnaires and in-depth interviews. Descriptive statistics used for data analysis were mean and standard deviation. Content analysis was employed to analyze the qualitative data. The results revealed that: 1) the teachers were satisfied with the overall storytelling media for learning at the highest level, 2) the teachers were satisfied with the flashcards and the dimensioned pictures for learning at the highest level.
