A Comparative Study about two versions of “Scarlet Heart” series by Mainland Chinese version in 2011 and “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo” series by south Korean version in 2016

Abstract
Bu Bu Jing Xin, also known as Scarlet Heart, is a very popular novel among Mainland Chinese readers. Such popularity caused the novel to be adapted into television drama versions. The television drama adapted from the novel that is popular and well-known in Thailand is the television drama "Scarlet Heart. For this reason, the researcher is interested in studying the process of interpreting a novel into a television drama directing in 2 versions, including Mainland, Korea, 2011 and 2016. By applying the theory of adaptation, including studying the characteristics of genres in all 2 TV dramas using the theory of intertextuality. According to studies, it was found that the Mainland Chinese novel "Bu Bu Jing Xin" was adapted into the television drama "Scarlet Heart" in 2 versions. There are many changes in the storyline and characters. Maintaining, extending, modifying, and reducing are all options. In terms of intertextuality, it was discovered that the Mainland Chinese TV dramas were was the model for in the South Korean TV dramas and different from the Chinese version.
