Expectations towards the Welfare of Non-commissioned Police Officers: A Case Study of Nang Leang Police Station

Abstract
The purpose of this research were to study 1) welfare satisfaction in non-commissioned police officers; 2) their welfare expectations in non-commissioned police officers; and 3) welfare needs in non-commissioned police officers. The samples were 131 non-commissioned police officers from Nang Loeng Police Station. The statistics used in the analysis use the percentage, mean, and prioritize the necessary needs by using the Modified Priority Needs Index (PNIModified) method.
The results showed that 1) the overall satisfaction level was at a low level with an average of 2.226 with the highest aspect on ‘health’, ‘economy’, and ‘education’. On the other hand, 2) welfare expectation was at a highest level with an average of 4.602. By aspect, it was found that the highest aspect was ‘education’, ‘stability’, and ‘health.’ Moreover, 3) the welfare needs were ranked in the order of importance as ‘education’, ‘stability’, ‘recreation’, ‘economy’ and ‘health’.
