Development of a Participatory School Management Model to Enhance Educational Quality at Kasetsomboon Wittayakom School

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to: (1) study the current conditions, problems, and needs of participatory management to enhance the educational quality of Kasetsomboon Wittayahom School; (2) develop a participatory school management model; (3) implement the model; and (4) evaluate the results of the model implementation. The sample consisted of 23 teachers and educational personnel, 3 members of the Basic Education School Board, and 301 parents, obtained through purposive and stratified random sampling. The research instruments included questionnaires, in-depth interviews, and model evaluation forms, with reliability values ranging from 0.82 to 0.95. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and a comparison of pre- and post-implementation results.
The findings were as follows: 1. Although the school had policies emphasizing participation, actual implementation was limited. A clear, comprehensive, and continuously monitored model was needed. 2. The developed model comprised five key components: transparency in administration, participation, joint direction and role setting, resource and network support, and motivation and capacity building. 3. After implementation, the internal quality assessment scores improved across all standards, with the overall mean increasing from 4.37 (Very Good) to 4.87 (Excellent). and 4. The evaluation of appropriateness, feasibility, and usefulness indicated the highest level in all components, reflecting strong acceptance and practical applicability of the model.
