Study of Intellectual Property Management from Research and Innovation Results of Nakhon Phanom University.

Abstract
The management of intellectual property plays a crucial role in promoting the practical application of research and innovation for both commercial and societal benefits. Nakhon Phanom University has developed protection mechanisms to support research and enhance value to research and innovation. This includes studying the current status and management approaches of intellectual property within the university's research and innovation projects, analyzing challenges and obstacles related to the intellectual property protection process and proposes strategies for more effective management. This research employed both quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, including surveys of university personnel and researchers. The findings showed that, while the number of intellectual property protection applications has increased, challenges remain due to complex procedures. Additionally, researchers often lack clear knowledge of the protection process and benefit-sharing policies related to their research. The study highlights the need to develop a support system for intellectual property registration, establish collaborative networks with external organizations, and promote the commercial use of intellectual property. To facilitate intellectual property management, the university has issued regulations to encourage the application of research and innovation for both commercial and social benefits.
