Main Article Content
Abstract
This study aimed to (1) examine the level of learning skills among students who participated in Isan local wisdom dissemination activities in the library, (2) investigate knowledge extension after participation, and (3) apply the findings to develop activity models that promote learning skills and the practical application of knowledge. This research employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. The population consisted of students who participated in the Isan local wisdom dissemination activities organized by the Isan Information Center Sirindhorn, Office of Academic Resources, Mahasarakham University. The research instruments included a learning skills assessment form, a knowledge extension assessment form, a satisfaction questionnaire, and in-depth interview guidelines. Quantitative data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and percentage, while qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis. The results revealed that students had an overall high level of learning skills, with knowledge creation skills showing the highest mean, followed by analytical thinking skills. These findings indicate that students were able to process, interpret, and develop new outputs at a high level, both in the form of creative media and practical applications in real contexts. In terms of knowledge extension, the results also showed a high level, as students were able to apply their knowledge in various forms, including academic work, creative media production, and community-based activities. Additionally, students extended their learning by creating online content related to Isan local wisdom across various digital platforms, reflecting the development of creative thinking and knowledge communication skills in the digital age. Qualitative findings indicated that key components of effective activities included the use of real objects and visual media, participatory learning approaches, opportunities for students to create outputs, and the dissemination of their work in both library spaces and online platforms. These elements contribute to the development of activity models that libraries can adopt as best practices to promote learning and sustain Isan local wisdom in a contemporary context.
