SUCCESS FACTORS IN SCHOOL ADMINISTRATION BY EDUCATIONAL PERSONNEL UNDER NAKHON PATHOM PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1
Keywords:
Success Factors, School Administration, AdministrationAbstract
This research aimed to study the success factors affecting school administration among educational personnel under the Nakhon Pathom Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample used in this study consisted of 385 educational personnel, determined by using Taro Yamane’s sample size table. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product-moment correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The research findings revealed that all success factors were positively correlated with school administration at the .01 level of statistical significance. The correlation coefficients were at a high level (r = .685–.846). Organizational culture (X₄) showed the highest correlation (r = .820), followed by organizational structure (X₃) (r = .792) and future orientation and self-control (X₆) (r = .774), whereas client characteristics (X₁) showed the lowest correlation, though still at a high level (r = .701). In addition, the overall success factors were highly correlated with overall school administration (r = .842) at the .01 level of statistical significance.
The results of the stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated that organizational culture (X₄), organizational structure (X₃), future orientation and self-control (X₆), and achievement motivation (X₅) significantly predicted school administration at the .01 level of statistical significance. Together, these variables explained 70.90 percent of the variance (R² = .709), with a multiple correlation coefficient of .842. Organizational culture was the strongest predictor (Beta = .421), reflecting that these success factors played a significant role in enhancing the effectiveness of school administration.
