Educational Activities in the Context of Integration and Sustainable Development- Experiences of Provincial and City Museums in Vietnam

Museums are informal educational institutions, but they can influence awareness of all members of society. In museums, public can directly participate in many beneficial activities, having the opportunity to experience, enjoy, reflect on, and share knowledge. Like many countries around the world, there are a large number of provincial and city museums in the Vietnamese museum system, present in all localities. The important task of these museums is to preserve and promote the value of local cultural heritage. In the context of integration and sustainable development, these museums have undertaken many positive activities to meet the public's needs for cultural visits and enjoyment, for the benefit of the community. This article aims to affirm and introduce some typical educational experiences of provincial and city museums in Vietnam today.
