Information literacy of graduate students in Thaksin University

The objectives of this research were to study the level of information literacy and to compare the level of information literacy of graduate students from Thaksin University classifed by gender, faculty, year and course experience. The sample group consisted of 210 graduate students from Thaksin University who enrolled in the academic year 2018. They were randomly sampled from the Krejcie and Morgan tables. The instrument used in the research was the information literacy test. Statistics used are percentage, mean, standard deviation, F-test and pair comparison according to the Scheffe's method. The results were as follows : 1) The overall level of information literacy of graduate students from Thaksin University was at a moderate level. The standard that was at a high level has only one aspect, namely the standard 1 : defining the characteristics and scope of information. 2) The comparison of information literacy levels based on gender and work experience revealed that female students had higher levels of information literacy than males. The students with work experience have higher level of information literacy than students without work experience. In addition, there was no significant difference between year of study, faculty, and experiences of concerning and training information literacy subjects information literacy.
