The linkage of the electronics industry in Thailand

This research aimed to study and analyze the linkage between upstream and downstream industry of electronics industry in Thailand using the input and output table of the year 2010 (published in 2015) which obtained from the Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board. The results showed that the Other Electrical Apparatus and Supplies and the Electric Accumulators and Batteries are the branches that have the highest forward linkage and other branches are lower respectively. Regarding the backward linkage, the Radio, Television and Communication Equipment, and Apparatus and the Household Electrical Appliances are the two branches that have the most backward linkage, and other branches are lower respectively. Concerning the total linkage, it was found that the electronics industry provided higher total forward linkages than total backward linkages.
