The Guidelines for Cooperation Development among Faculties and Librarians to AREC Use Promotion of Mahasarakham University

This research aimed at studying current conditions, desired conditions and AREC use promotion of Mahasarakham University. This research was conducted using mixed method methodologies. It was divided into 2 stages. In the first stage, the studying current conditions, desired conditions were applied by using survey method. The sample included 291 Mahasarakham University faculties. The tools employed for this stage was questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed by percentage, means and standard deviation. In the second stage, the studying guideline for cooperation development among faculties and librarians to library use promotion was collected data by group discussion. The study sample included 12 of faculties, librarians and academic officer. The tools employed for this stage was guidelines draft for cooperation development among faculties and librarians to library use promotion. The collected data were analyzed by contents analysis. The research results were revealed that the current conditions of cooperation among faculties and librarians to library use promotion on the whole were at a moderate level and the desired conditions of cooperation among faculties and librarians to library use promotion on the whole were at a highest level. For the studying of guidelines for cooperation development among faculties and librarians to AREC use promotion of Mahasarakham University found that 1) Library use promotion aspect, faculties should design teaching method that librarians can participate or create some activities together. To make public relation about information services to faculties. To make cooperation among faculties and General Education Center to open courses about information. 2) Information sources aspect, there should be setting committee for information resources assessment and acquisition, sending information sources list to faculties, informing faculties budget expense result, acquisitioning related information resource to curriculums by survey. 3) Information services aspect, sending create list of related bibliography to faculties, setting committee from faculty to coordinate with AREC, network effectiveness improvement to support information access outside university and arranging proactive services for faculty.
