Database development full journal article For Academic Resources and Information Technology Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University by Open source Omeka

Abstract

The purpose of this research were 1) to develop and evaluate full-text academic journal database for Office of Academic Resource and Information Technology, Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University, by using Program Omeka; and 2) to develop and evaluate manual 0f full-text academic journal database for Office of Academic Resource and Information Technology, Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University. The sample of the research consisted of 16 Master degree students and 4 librarians of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University who are responsible for answering the question service. The data collection instrument was a questionnaire. The statistics used for analysis were percentage, mean and standard deviation. The research result founded that the developed database could list the Thai Journals completely. For searching, the system could search and showed the results fast and quite completely but the articles’ titles searching which have a number of Thai alphabets could not appear from searching. For the users’ opinions of the system’s efficiency showed that the librarians were satisfied on the page design, searching and the display format at a high level. Also, the using of academic journal database manual, the library staffs were satisfied on content at a high level but the design is at the highest. A group of Master degree students, on the other hand, revealed that they were satisfied on the page design at a high level. For the display format and searching are at a medium level. The using of academic journal database manual, they were satisfied on the content and the design at a high level.
