Parents’ Satisfaction towards Enrollment of Children to Music Program under Yala City Municipality Youth Orchestra Project

The purposes of this research were 1) to study the parents’ satisfaction towards enrollment of children to Music Program under Yala City Municipality Youth Orchestra Project and 2) to compare parents’ satisfaction towards enrollment of children to Music Program under Yala City Municipality Youth Orchestra Project categorized by sex, age, religion, occupation, education, income, musical competence, and length of children’s music studies. The sample included 128 parents. Data were collected using 5-point rating scale questionnaire and checklist ad were statistically analyzed in percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test and One-way Analysis of Variance. The finings revealed as follows: 1. The parents’ satisfaction towards enrollment of children to Music Program under Yala City Municipality Youth Orchestra Project was generally found at high level. After item analysis, the one with the highest mean was music studies followed by teachers and materials. 2. Sex, education, and length of children’s music studies correlated with parents’ satisfaction towards enrollment of children to Music Program under Yala City Municipality Youth Orchestra Project at 0.05 significance level.
