Construction of Children’s Book Amazing South of Thailand, for Prathomsuksa V Students

Abstract

The objective of this research were to construct, and determine the efficiency of, Children’s Book for Prathomsuksa V Students Amazing South of Thailand” by the 80/80 set criterion; compare the student’ learning achievement before and after the use of the text; assess the quality of the text; and study the students’ satisfaction with the instruction by means of the text. The research sample, by means of purposive random sampling, consisted of 30 Prathomsuksa v Students of Baan Klongtan School in Takbai District Naratiwat Province, during second term of 2555 academic year. The research instruments consisted of the text plans for the conduct of learning, 30-item test of learning achievement before and after learning, a form for assessment of the quality of the text, a questionnaire on the students’ satisfaction with use of the text. The statistics for the data analysis were mean percentage, and standard, the use of E1 and E2 and the determination of the instruments and the differences of differences by means of t-test. The research finding were as follows. The text was rated 81.60/84.90 percent, higher than the 80/80 set criterion. The students’ learning achievement was higher after the use of the text than before at the .01 level of statistical significance. The level of quality of the text was good (= 4.28). And the students’ satisfaction by the stated text was at a high level ( = 4.25)
