The diversity of new paradigm in foundational politics: Reflection on many perspectives of local politic actors in Surat-Thani Province

Abstract

The purposes of this qualitative research were to explanation of the local politics phenomenon based on diversity construction of political scenario between political official and government officer toward political thought of space contestation to reproduction of diversity of new paradigm on foundational politics in Surat-Thani Province. For this qualitative study, data were collected using to information in documents and in-depth interviews from key informants were then selected by purposive sampling. Sample of this research were 11 samples related to the local politics, consisted of the reflection of thai politics group, local politic actors group and academician group. The data was analysed as a inductive method into the concept of critical local political economy and interpreting on conclusion. This research shows that the local politics phenomenon in Surat-Thani Province was result from different of epistemological between “the politics sphere” and “productivity improvement” that lead to build of politics scenarios different by political thought of political official and government officer. Furthermore, An acceptance about diversity and inclusion of epistemological status for explanation to the local politics that was propose to overcome of local obstacles caused by discrimination thought on political actors toward the new balance of power base on cooperate of explicit knowledge and repeat of methods of acquiring knowledge. This was created form of complex problem solving and support to the deconstructional for local politic development in context of Surat-Thani Province.
