Promoting the Use of Turnitin for Similarity Checking of Kasetsart University Library, 4 Campuses

Abstract

Kasetsart University Library has provided Service of similarity checking of manuscripts and academic works by using Turnitin program since 2019. The first stage of the service was done by the librarians from Bangkhen Campus.  The statistic of the service was reported that users are from 4 campuses of Kasetsart University: students, lecturers, researchers and staff.  Therefore, the librarians and staff of others 3 campuses have to study Turnitin program to serve users, manage Turnitin account and collect the usage statistics as librarians from Bangkhen campus do.  The activity for promoting the use of Turnitin program has been organized by librarians from 4 campuses with the process of Demming Cycle (PDCA) and Knowledge Management: Training, Knowledge Sharing and After-Action Review (AAR), in order to increase the knowledge and share experiences about Turnitin services from librarians of Bangkhen Campus.  The evaluation of satisfaction with Turnitin Service for 4 campuses reported that in a very good level (4.78 from 5.00) as well as the satisfaction in receiving information on time for use.  In 2024, librarians from 4 campuses continue set a plan to promote the use of Turnitin for the most cost effective
