Campaigning Anti-Corruption Awareness among Students at a Buddhist University in Northern Thailand

Abstract

This study aimed to promote anti-corruption awareness among students at a Buddhist university in Northern Thailand and to evaluate their satisfaction with the campaign. The research was conducted using an action research approach. The population consisted of 141 undergraduate students, from first to fourth year, majoring in Political Science and Public Administration. The campaign was implemented online. Research instruments included: (1) four educational campaign posters, with one poster displayed per week over a four-week period, and (2) a satisfaction evaluation form created using Google Forms, which was used for data collection and analysis. Descriptive statistics, including percentages and means, were employed for data analysis. The research findings revealed that students at the Buddhist university expressed a high level of satisfaction with the anti-corruption awareness campaign. They recognized that anti-corruption serves as a foundation for personal and social development, enhances efficiency and quality, and can be passed on to future generations. The students reported that the knowledge gained could be applied in their daily lives. Anti-corruption efforts were also viewed as relevant across all age groups, particularly among children, adolescents, and youth, who need to understand anti-corruption principles as part of their education. The campaign contributed to strengthening their knowledge, morality, and ethics, while fostering the development of problem-solving skills that enable them to help others and contribute positively to society.
