EDUCATIONAL INNOVATIONS IN ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION TO DEVELOP STUDENTS' ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS USING THE SMILE MODEL OF KAIBANGRACHANWITTAYAKOM SCHOOL

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present educational innovations in academic administration to develop students' entrepreneurial skills using the SMILE Model. The author has studied the principles, concepts, theories, and research related to development. The process of creating and developing the innovation model was carried out to try out the innovation in Kaibangrachanwitthayakom School. Khai Bang Rachan district, Singburi Province. From the development, it was found that the SMILE Model innovation model consists of 5 main steps: 1) S: Study 2) M: Management 3) I: Implementation 4) L : Learning Assessment, assessing 5) E : Expansion. The SMILE Model can be used to benefit the academic administration of secondary educational institutions in developing students' entrepreneurial skills and the school administrators can adjust it to suit the context of the school and the needs of the students. The development of entrepreneurial skills is consistent with the government's focus on promoting Thai citizens in the 4.0 era to have entrepreneurial characteristics to drive the country's economy according to the Thailand 4.0 strategy to create stability, prosperity and sustainability in 21^st century. Furthermore, it contributes to the development of students in accordance with the National Economic and Social Development Plan No. 13, which emphasizes the quantitative and qualitative, especially job abilities or competencies according to job positions, life skills, problem-solving abilities, and having more entrepreneurial ideas.
