THE THE DIVERSITY IN SUPPLY CHAINS: NEW STRATEGIES FOR SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION AND RAW MATERIAL SOURCING IN TIMES OF CRISIS

This article aims to present approaches to sourcing that emphasize Supply Chain Diversity, a critical strategy for enhancing organizational resilience and reducing risks. It highlights the adoption of innovative strategies such as Multi-Sourcing, Regional Sourcing, and reducing reliance on Single Sourcing, while also analyzing the role of modern technologies like Blockchain, AI, and Big Data in enhancing transparency and efficiency in supply chains. The author examines the concept of supply chain diversity with a focus on developing new strategies for sustainable production and raw material sourcing in the context of a world facing global crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical shifts.
The study reveals that integrating sustainability principles and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) factors into production and sourcing processes is crucial for building robust supply chains. The article presents case studies of organizations that have successfully established diverse and sustainable supply chains and concludes with strategic recommendations for businesses aiming to adapt and enhance their competitiveness in an era of uncertainty.
This study not only contributes to advancing knowledge in logistics and supply chain management but also provides a roadmap for organizations to navigate global changes effectively and sustainably in the long term.
