การบริหารโรงเรียนเป็นการบริหารโดยบุคลากรด้านการศึกษาภายในโรงเรียนซึ่งมีเป้าหมายในการพัฒนาโรงเรียนให้เป็นสถาบันที่สามารถพัฒนานักเรียนให้เติบโตขึ้นเป็นผู้ใหญ่ที่ดีของประเทศชาติ ดังนั้นการบริหารโรงเรียนด้วยการสอนหลักสูตรฐานสมรรถนะ 6 ด้านซึ่งเป็นหลักสูตรซึ่งกระทรวงศึกษาธิการมุ่งเน้นให้โรงเรียนทั่วประเทศ นำหลักการนี้มาใช้ในการพัฒนานักเรียนเพื่อให้นักเรียนมีสมรรถนะในการดำรงชีวิตอย่างมีคุณภาพ สามารถจัดการตนเอง มีความคิดวิเคราะห์ และสามารถอยู่ร่วมกับสังคมและผู้อื่นได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ การนำหลักการนี้มาใช้บริหารโรงเรียนจึงเป็นแนวทางการบริหารโรงเรียนที่สอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายของกระทรวงศึกษาธิการรวมถึงสอดคล้องกับหลักการบริหารโรงเรียนที่จะต้องพัฒนานักเรียนให้เป็นสมาชิกที่ดีมีคุณภาพของสังคม และเป็นผู้ใหญ่ที่ดีในอนาคต
