THE STUDY OF THE SERVICE MODEL OF SPECIAL EDUCATION CENTERS AND PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT IN EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES AT THE SPECIAL EDUCATION CENTER EDUCATION DISTRICT 11 NAKHONRATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract

The purposes of this research were (1) to study the level of parental involvement in early intervention services of the Special Education Center, Education District 11, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, and (2) to compare the parental involvement in early intervention services of the Special Education Center, Education District 11, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, classified by the service model of the Special Education Center. The sample used in this research includes 278 parents of students at the Special Education Center, Education District 11, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, under the Office of Special Education Administration, for the academic year 2023. Data was collected using a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, with the item-objective congruence index ranging between 0.60 – 1.00 and the overall questionnaire reliability being 0.974 The statistics used for data analysis include mean, percentage, standard deviation, hypothesis testing F-test, and Scheffe’s method for pairwise comparison when a statistically significant difference is found. The research findings revealed that

(1) The service model of the Special Education Center and parental involvementin early intervention services of the Special Education Center, Education Area 11, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, both overall and in every aspect, are at a high level.

(2) The comparison of parental involvement in early intervention services atthe Special Education Center, Educational Area 11, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, classified by service type, found no significant differences both overall and in each aspect.
