Abstract

Editorial Note

The MCU Suranaree Journal, Volume 2, Issue 1 (January–April 2024) features a collection of highly valuable research and academic articles. These contributions serve as essential resources for both theoretical and practical applications in education. Highlights include research on programming through command cards with a board game medium, the development of reading materials based on local wisdom, learning English through movie titles, preserving the Thai language, and the use of social media for English communication by Buddhist monks. Additionally, the journal contains book reviews that compile Buddhist scriptures and historical depictions of sacred locations. These articles are rich in knowledge and provide an excellent foundation for further development and application.

The cover of this journal highlights the Reclining Buddha at Wat Thammachak Semaram in Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. This sandstone Buddha statue, over 1,000 years old from the Dvaravati period, is the largest of its kind in Thailand. As for Sema City in Sung Noen, its name is derived from "Seema," part of the name "Nakhon Ratchasima." Sema City represents the original ancient Korat or the first Nakhon Ratchasima before the establishment of the current province.

The editorial team is deeply grateful to all authors for their invaluable and insightful contributions, which include new knowledge shared through the MCU Suranaree Journal. We look forward to continued academic collaboration in future issues.
