GUIDELINES FOR STUDYING THE ROLE OF THE SANGHA IN ENGLISH COMMUNICATION IN THE DIGITAL AGE

Abstract

This academic article aims to study approaches to English communication education and promote the application of English learning for Buddhist clergy in the digital era. The study found that the role of Buddhist clergy in English communication involves applying modern communication technologies, which helps bridge understanding gaps in contemporary society and provides a foundation for studying digital society. This is to respond to message transmission and dharma dissemination that keeps pace with the new generation of society, because the current society is changing through the use of digital technology in all aspects of life. Buddhist clergy cannot avoid living together in the digital society. Therefore, English communication education for Buddhist clergy is necessary and must keep up with constantly changing modern technological transformations. Consequently, studying English learning approaches in the digital era is beneficial for developing communication within the monastic community, promoting Buddhist affairs, and developing the nation to keep up with global changes in the digital technology era.
