Abstract

Research Article: A Study on the Effects of Using Information and Communication Technology for Teaching General Music to Primary School Students, Objectives: (1) To develop a learning management approach using YouTube videos for teaching general music to Grade 6 students.              (2) To examine students' satisfaction with learning and developing music skills using YouTube videos as supplementary teaching materials.  The study focused on the following subtopics: 1. Guitar tuning 2. Counting rhythm 3. Playing guitar chords (Em, C, G, D) 4. Performing a song.                            Population: The participants were 20 Grade 6 students from Wat Pa Sakae School, Pa Sakae Subdistrict, Doem Bang Nang Buat District, Suphan Buri Province. Findings:

(1) The effectiveness of the learning management approach using YouTube videos for teaching general music to Grade 6 students was measured at 78.20/89.50.

(2) Student satisfaction with learning and skill development in general music, supported by YouTube videos, was very high. The overall satisfaction score had an average of 4.59, categorized as excellent.

This study highlights the potential of integrating YouTube videos into music education to enhance engagement, learning efficiency, and skill development among primary school students.
