Development of a Performance Tracking System for Corporate-Level Strategies via the ECRS Lean Technique

Abstract

The Office of Academic Resources at Ubon Ratchathani University has embraced the Eliminate, Combine, Re-arrange, and Simplify (ECRS) framework to guide the development of a performance tracking system aimed at boosting the efficiency of monitoring the organization's strategic performance. ECRS principles entail Eliminating or minimizing unnecessary steps, Consolidating process stages, Reorganizing tasks for optimal fit, Simplifying operations, and Enhancing methodologies. Through the implementation of a performance tracking system grounded in these principles, the office seeks to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.The development of this system employs PHP programming language, MySQL database, LINE API for communication, and the LINE application for user interaction. This ensures convenient accessibility across various devices and operating systems. Relevant stakeholders receive notifications to submit data via LINE Notify, while the system produces real-time reports and graphs for comparing actual performance against targets, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strategic departmental overviews.As a result of this enhancement, the workflow has been streamlined to just 2 steps, leading to a total time-saving of 340 minutes, equivalent to 41.46% reduction from the original 820 minutes. The majority of users express considerable satisfaction with the performance tracking system, giving it a rating of 4.33 out of 5.
