การวิเคราะห์เปรียบเทียบผลการใช้ระบบยืนยันตัวตนแบบ Proxy และแบบ SAML การนำไปใช้จริงในบริบทของจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย

บทคัดย่อ
การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์และเปรียบเทียบประสบการณ์การใช้งานระบบยืนยันตัวตนแบบ Proxy ด้วยระบบ EZproxy และแบบ SAML ด้วยระบบ OpenAthens ในบริบทการให้บริการทรัพยากรสารสนเทศอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ของสำนักงานวิทยทรัพยากร จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย การดำเนินการวิจัย ประกอบด้วย การเก็บรวบรวมและวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลการเข้าถึงของผู้ใช้จากทั้งสองระบบ โดยแบ่งช่วงเวลาเป็นสองระยะ ได้แก่ ช่วง 3 เดือนก่อนการนำระบบ OpenAthens มาใช้ (พ.ค. – ก.ค. 68) และช่วงหลังการนำระบบ OpenAthens มาใช้งาน (ส.ค. – ต.ค. 68) การวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ โดยอาศัยสถิติเชิงพรรณนาเพื่อการวิเคราะห์ผู้ใช้ และการวิเคราะห์การเข้าถึงทรัพยากรสารสนเทศอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า จำนวนผู้ใช้งานผ่านระบบ EZproxy ลดลงอย่างต่อเนื่องหลังการนำระบบ OpenAthens มาใช้งาน ในขณะที่จำนวนผู้ใช้งานผ่านระบบ OpenAthens เพิ่มขึ้นอย่างชัดเจน ทั้งนี้ เมื่อพิจารณาตามแพลตฟอร์มฐานข้อมูล พบว่าการเข้าถึงผ่าน EZproxy ลดลงในทุกแพลตฟอร์ม ในขณะที่การเข้าถึงผ่าน OpenAthens มีแนวโน้มเพิ่มขึ้น โดยแพลตฟอร์มที่มีการเข้าถึงสูงสุด 3 อันดับแรก ได้แก่ Elsevier, SpringerNature Link และ Wiley Online Library สะท้อนให้เห็นว่าระบบ SAML มีศักยภาพในการรองรับการเข้าถึงที่สะดวกและมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้นสำหรับผู้ใช้ในระดับสถาบันอุดมศึกษา
