ADMINISTRATIVE MODEL OF THE SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION AND SUBDISTRICT MUNICIPALITY

Abstract

               This academic article objective is to study the differences between subdistrict administrative organizations and subdistrict municipalities. Subdistrict municipalities are local government units that provide services to the community at the local level, aiming to meet the public needs in terms of management styles and various services. On the other hand, subdistrict administrative organizations are local government units with legal personality and local government status. They distribute local authority to provide services to the population to the maximum extent, considering service delivery as the forefront in establishing good relationships between local units and the population. Regarding the differences between subdistrict administrative organizations and subdistrict municipalities, there are variations in population size, salaries of administrators, and income. Additionally, some legal provisions grant more power to “subdistrict municipalities” compared to “subdistrict administrative organizations.”This is because when the organization has a larger area of responsibility and a greater population, the nature of problems may change, necessitating more power to address those problems.
