Expectations and realities in the management of graduate programs, Faculty of Business Administration, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep

Abstract

            Graduate studies play an important role in developing knowledge, abilities, skills, experiences, as well as ideas and work processes of personnel to be more efficient. The Faculty of Business Administration, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep is another university that offers graduate studies with good standards and quality as specified in the regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation or MHESI in all respects. There are 3 main research objectives, 1) To study the expectations of the administration of the graduate program, Faculty of Business Administration, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, 2) To study the reality of the administration of the graduate program, Faculty of Business Administration, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep, 3) To present guidelines for developing the quality of the administration of the graduate program, Faculty of Business Administration, Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep. This qualitative research uses the interview method to interview the professor in charge of the master's degree program about management style or technic including policy to run the master's degree program at the Business Administration Faculty of Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep. The result shows that right now, the master's degree program or MBA already has 11 batches and we are going to open the 12th batch in the next semester of 2025. In principle, the management policy is under the control of the course professor, who consists of 3 professors and will directly report to the dean of the faculty. Now the management policy and general situation is good because the program got good feedback from our present students and also from graduated students from the year before. Moreover, This year, the Master of Business Administration program will undergo a curriculum revision and development to create a modernized program that aligns with current labor market demands and contemporary business world dynamics.We got valuable information from several stakeholders such as present students, aluminized, lecturers, management teams, and officers. This research concluded that expectations and realities in the management of graduate programs passed the standard and reach the expectation, which the program’s course professor will put their effort to keep the good standard and increase the quality of the program in the future.
