Abstract

This academic article aims to present the enhancing among patients with end-stage renal disease receiving hemodialysis by utilization of the nine keys principles. Data was collected by reviewing documents, research articles, and academic articles. The study found that the following principles contribute to enhancing the quality of life for these patients were 1) Problem-solving, learning, and adapting to living with the challenges of kidney disease 2) Enhancing analytical thinking and applying knowledge to effectively deal with the disease and daily life 3) Self-exploration through observing and recording feelings in various situations 4) Utilizing appropriate methods and tools 5) Attempting to solve problems related to the patients' daily life circumstances 6) Recognizing the importance of services and care received from medical staff 7) Exercising for self-direction 8) Understanding and accepting the diversity associated with the mental state of patients with kidney failure 9) Providing counseling and information about the disease and healthcare. The findings of this study have implications not only for patients with kidney disease but also for individuals with other medical conditions in applying guidelines to promote physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being.
