APPLICATION OF PRINCIPLES IN HEALTH CARE IN THE ELDERLY

Abstract
At present, Thailand has entered an aging society since 2022, with an elderly population of 12,116,199 people (18.3%) of the total population, approximately 70.080,000 people, from the number of children being born less than 600,000 people per year (statistical system Registration, 2022) resulting in a labor shortage situation. The government must pay more for the elderly welfare in contrast to the lower tax collection. The World Health Organization has made recommendations for the aging society such as promoting good health for the elderly, support as part of the working force of valued social. They get earning income for their living, which is essentially is to have good health. Therefore, the health of the elderly has been promoted by applying the principles, namely “Apannakapatipada” means conduct that is not wrong. which the Blessed One has shown that A bhikkhu endowed with the three virtues is known as one who does not go wrong. Budhha preached for the depletion of all defilements. He is the guardian of the gates in the senses, He is the protector of food, He is the one who works diligently. 1 (Phra Brahmakunabhorn (P.A. Payutto, 2003). Protection of the gates mean having health consciousness to slow deterioration. They have been taken care of the right diet suitable for your age. and have perseverance in the work that they can do diligently and have a clear mind Therefore, it is a valuable elderly person.
